Knitting baby's first blanket

I love simple and easy knitting projects that are quick to make, even for beginners.
My first knitted baby blanket was this cozy alpaca blanket in a neutral gray and a size of approx. 75 x 80 cm. A few years ago, I knitted this blanket for my eldest daughter, who later passed it on to her younger baby sister.
Not too big or too small, just perfect for cuddling up newborns, snuggling in the baby carrier or carriage when out and about.
The number of stitches can be adjusted as required, so it can be easily knitted larger for toddlers or just for yourself.
For the edge, I opted for a simple crocheted edge - This is quick, hides some odd uneven selvedge stitches and gives the kids' blanket a little more stability. This way, the cuddly blanket will be a warm companion for years to come.
I knitted it with a soft, untreated baby alpaca yarn. It is pleasantly soft in a beautiful natural color (these cute animals naturally have such a beautiful coat color).
