Easy knit baby vest pattern
Cough shirt - baby slipover pattern
A knitted baby slipover – also called a cough shirt – keeps your baby’s chest and back cosy and warm. In winter, it can be worn as an extra layer under thicker clothing, while on cooler summer days you can simply slip it over a bodysuit or shirt. The sleeveless sweater vest is worked in garter stitch, entirely in knit stitches, and knitted in one piece from the bottom up. This means it is completely seamless and comfortable to wear.
Paired with a matching bonnet and little mittens, your baby will be snug, warm, and beautifully wrapped.
For this easy knit baby vest pattern you only need to know: Knit and purl stitches (purl stitches as the vest is knitted in the round) and binding off.
