Newborn knit outfit set

Knit a cosy baby outfit: trousers, leg warmers, and a hat – keeping your newborn warm from head to toe. The baby pants are worked as loose-fitting bloomers with a slightly wider leg, knitted top down in the round, almost seamless. Thanks to the long cuffs, they will grow with your baby for quite some time. The small warmers can be worn as either leg or arm warmers and are quick to knit in a simple rib pattern. The baby hat is knitted as a pixie bonnet in a cute gnome hat shape. This newborn outfit includes three patterns, all worked with circular needles using only knit and purl stitches.

If you like, you can also knit a matching baby cocoon to complete the set.

• LEVEL: beginner
• SKILLS: knit and purl stitches, binding off and seaming (leg warmers), alternatively joining with a 3-needle bind-off (hat), working short rows (explained step by step with pictures), and decreases by knitting stitches together (trousers)
  
• SIZES: newborns (preemie), babies, and toddlers up to 3 years (trousers). Leg warmers and pixie hat are included up to approx. size 8 yrs (head circumference 54 cm).
• YARN: 200, 200, 250, 300, 350 g Big Merino Hug by Rosy Green Wool (100% organic merino wool, GOTS-certified), yardage 160 m per 100 g. Alternatively, Bio Lana by Mondial (100% organic wool) or any other soft yarn with a similar gauge.
• NEEDLES: circular needles 4.5 and 5.5 mm, US 7-9 (40 cm); from size 86/92 also 60 cm for the trousers; for hat and leg warmers 60–80 cm
• LANGUAGE: German and English
